Symphony to Offer Weekly Pharma and Prescription Data
US-based analytics provider Symphony Health Solutions has launched a service providing weekly views of pharmaceutical sales and prescription activity, which it claims is the 'first' weekly audit of US institutional sales and overall market activity.
The division was formed in 2012, when private equity firm Symphony Technology Group acquired patient and physician data provider Source Healthcare Analytics, and combined it with its existing pharma offer.
Previously available only on a monthly basis, PHAST 2.0 Institutional Weekly and PHAST 2.0 Integrated Weekly will provide clients with access to a large volume of market data covering drug launches and competitive drugs in the marketplace. The integrated audit has also been enhanced with additional data on speciality drugs in areas such as oncology, rheumatoid arthritis and HIV.
Don Otterbein (pictured), SVP, Product Management & Marketing, comments: 'These new weekly audits allow us to provide the most comprehensive and timely coverage of both retail prescription activity and non-retail sales. Given the rate and pace of change in the healthcare and life sciences markets, it is increasingly important for our clients to have timely and actionable market intelligence to compete effectively.'
