Ask Afrika Appoints Former Nielsen MD Ken McArthur

Pretoria-based full service agency Ask Afrika has appointed former Nielsen MD Ken McArthur as company Chairperson.

Ask Africa offers fieldwork capabilities in 95% of Sub-Saharan Africa, with local and international services covering all qual methodologies, CATI, and face-to-face interviewing. In 2009, the firm acquired the remaining 30% of TGI SA, suppliers of media, brand and product information.

McArthur (pictured) joins after ten years as Nielsen MD, during which time he set up a separate Media division. Prior to this, he was SVP for World-Wide Marketing at CIC Video International - a joint venture between Paramount and Universal Studios based in London.
