Senior Changes for Ipsos Public Affairs US

Ipsos Public Affairs has made three senior management changes in its US team: Clifford Young has been promoted to President and John Vidmar to Chairman of the division in the US, while Julia Clark takes on additional responsibilities as VP leading the team in Chicago.

Senior Changes for Ipsos Public Affairs USIn addition to public opinion studies, the division conducts elite stakeholder, corporate and media opinion research.

While leading business operations in the US, Young will also continue to handle global elections for the group. His experience spans social and public opinion trends, crisis management, election forecasting and polling. He worked previously as MD of the division in Brazil, where he started the practice.

Vidmar will provide 'a source of continuity on some of Ipsos' larger programs', according to the firm, and will focus on reviewing and improving Ipsos' sampling methodologies across the region.

Both men will report to Jeff Cail, COO of Ipsos in North America, and Darrell Bricker, CEO of Ipsos Public Affairs Worldwide.

Clark, who is already Vice President, will now take on day-to-day responsibilities for leading the firm's activity in Chicago, reporting directly to Clifford Young.

Bricker says clients will benefit from Young's 'unique, global perspective... backed by polling over 80 elections around the world', adding: 'But perhaps even more important than the international experience he brings, is his in-depth understanding of the market in the US. Cliff played a big role in a successful 2012 election season for Ipsos.'

According to Cail, the three appointments 'underline our commitment to building a strong presence in this highly competitive region'.
