B2B Predictive Analytics Firm 6Sense Raises $12m
San Francisco-based predictive intelligence firm 6Sense has launched out of stealth mode with $12m in Series A funding.
The firm, which was set up last year by Amanda Kahlow, Dustin Chang, Viral Bajaria, Premal Shah and Shane Moriah, uses proprietary machine learning algorithms and behavioral data to help clients identify potential B2B customers and predict sales. The technology works by parsing internal data from customers and linking it to external behavioral indicators of customer interest. The results are used to build custom models predicting where customers are in the buying cycle, what products they might buy and when.
Kahlow (pictured) comments: 'Today, organizations need to invest in solutions that make data central to driving their business forward. We aren't simply giving our customers a tool for incremental results; we are measurably growing their businesses with insights that will drive sales and, ultimately, their bottom line.'
New funding was led by Battery Ventures and Venrock, with participation from Silicon Valley Bank.
