Sydney Office for SurveyMonkey
DIY research specialist SurveyMonkey is opening an office in Sydney, Australia - its first in the Asia Pacific region - and says it will hire around 25 people there over the next few years.
The office is the second outside the US - it opened in London in December and relocated its European HQ from Lisbon to Dublin in April. The firm says Australia will be the first country outside the US to have access to its full range of products, including Enterprise, Audience and Contribute.
The company will recruit sales, marketing, and account management execs, partly with the aim of relieving employees in its Palo Alto, California office who currently 'have to stay up very late' to service Australian clients, according to CEO Dave Goldberg (pictured). Goldberg told tech site zdnet.com that there was a 'strong demand for feedback and data intelligence among Australian businesses', and that 'One in 10 Australians take a SurveyMonkey every month', adding: 'Australia more so than any other big English speaking country is ahead of the game in using data.'
