Sumo Lands $30m for EMEA and AsiaPac Expansion
Machine data analytics specialist Sumo Logic has raised $30m in a funding round, and will use it for geographic expansion into the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
The firm's software helps enterprise IT professionals analyse and visualize massive amounts of data from their server log files and other company sources, in real-time, in both data center and cloud environments. New funds have been led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from existing investors Greylock Partners, Sutter Hill Ventures and Accel Partners, and bring the total raised to date to $80.5m.
CEO Vance Loiselle (pictured) comments: 'By every measure, we have experienced explosive growth over the last year and this lead investment from Sequoia provides another huge validation of our business. As we continue executing on our vision in 2014, we are seizing the opportunity to expand our talent roster and extend our business into the wide-open European and Asia Pacific markets as demand for machine data analytics soars.'
