Creston Founder Don Elgie Begins Non-Exec Career
Don Elgie, the founder and former Group CEO of UK-based insight and communications group Creston, has joined social media management agency Emoderation as Non-Executive Chair.
Elgie (pictured) set up Creston in 2001, and the group now employs 900 staff, has revenues of £75m, and a diverse portfolio of companies which includes Marketing Sciences and ICM Research. He previously founded Grandfield Rork Collins Communications Group, acquired by Saatchi & Saatchi where he went on to become UK and Europe Operations Director.
In January, Elgie announced he would be retiring from Creston, and he left at the end of March to 'pursue a career of non-executive roles'.
The first of these is at London and Sydney-based Emoderation, which offers a range of social media management services including community management, moderation, crisis management and social media listening. CEO Tamara Littleton comments: 'Emoderation can learn a huge amount from Don's experience in how to achieve growth and manage it successfully. We're growing across all regions of the world, and Don's experience will be particularly helpful to us as we move into emerging markets.'
