Former dunnhumby Exec Joins Greenvale
UK potato supplier Greenvale has hired former dunnhumby exec Kate Wright for the newly created role of Category Insight Manager, with a remit to use insight to help the firm identify and prioritise opportunities for growth.
Perthshire-based Greenvale was set up in 1960 as part of Ross (part of the Imperial Food Group), and later acquired by Dalgety, and then by Produce Investments Limited. Wright (pictured) joins from Tesco Clubcard data agency dunnhumby, where she was Client Director. Prior to this, she worked at Sainsbury's as a product technologist, and at Leatherhead Food Research as a Nutritional Analyst.
Commenting on her appointment, Wright said: 'As a completely new role within the Greenvale business it's a bit of a challenge. The fresh produce sector isn't as advanced as the FMCG sector in terms of consumer understanding and I believe better consumer knowledge could truly transform how fresh produce is sold.'
Greenvale has also appointed former Mars Food exec Tracey Mattock as Marketing Manager, and both she and Wright report to Leon Mundey, Head of Marketing.
