SiSense Raises $30m for BI Platform
Israeli business intelligence (BI) and analytics software developer SiSense has closed a $30m round of financing, which it will use to increase its team, expand globally, and deliver new technology.
Founded in 2005, SiSense has developed an application called Prism, powered by 'Elasticube' analytical database technology, to enable people with little or no prior experience in BI development to perform data modelling and dashboard creation. SiSense claims that the tool can analyze 100 times more data than traditional in-memory solutions, at a fraction of the cost.
The new funding has been led by DFJ Growth, with participation from existing investors Batter Ventures, Genesis Partners and Opus Capital. Last year, the firm closed a $10m Series B round of funding, having raised $8m the previous year.
Amit Bendov (pictured), CEO of SiSense, comments: 'We are honored by DFJ Growth's confidence in our ground-breaking approach to business analytics. DFJ Growth has a reputation for identifying leading companies with disruptive technologies, and we look forward to continuing to disrupt the status quo and shake up the archaic world of BI.'
