mruk Builds Up New Scottish Team
After announcing earlier this month its return to Scotland with the opening of a new office in the centre of Glasgow, social research firm mruk has appointed Alison Johnstone as Research Manager and Neil Simpson as Research Consultant.
mruk, which is a division of RS Consulting group, was established in 1994, but closed its Scottish operation in 2010 as part of a drastic programme of cost reduction. Having now re-opened in Glasgow, the firm is working with Scottish public sector organisations including government agencies and local authorities, while also providing local support to sister agency Consensus Research's financial services clients across Scotland.
Johnstone joins from Student Loans Company where she served as Customer Insights Manager, while Simpson was a Policy Advocate at Consumer Futures (formerly ConsumerFocus) for five years.
Rachel Cope, head of mruk, comments: 'Alison and Neil bring with them extensive client-side knowledge and a wealth of practical experience in social research. Scotland-based clients are becoming increasingly important to mruk, so it was critical to appoint experienced people to get the office running smoothly from day one. This will help us consolidate our position.'
