Wunderman Veteran to Lead Annalect's Analytics Center
Omnicom's data and analytics business Annalect has hired Wunderman veteran Slavi Samardzija as Chief Analytics Officer, to lead an analytics center that will serve all Omnicom Group agencies.
Annalect brings together hundreds of digital and analytic experts from across Omnicom's specialty divisions, and its specialities include media analytics, business intelligence, econometric modeling, and digital investment platforms.
Samardzija (pictured) joins after fourteen years at WPP's digital marketing agency Wunderman, where he initially set up the firm's Data Analysis Group in Mexico, and latterly, served as Chief Analytics Officer, Customer Insights in New York, responsible for delivery of analytics services across the worldwide team of more than 500 analysts. He began his career as a Market Research Analyst with Principal Financial Group, where he conducted all primary and secondary market research studies, and monitored trends within the financial services sector.
In his new role, Samardzija reports to Annalect CEO Scott Hagedorn, who comments: 'Over the past three and half years, we have produced game-changing tools and applications, built the industry's largest data management platform, and incubated an incredible data scientist talent pool. The opportunity now is to streamline these assets to achieve unique marketing technology solutions, and Slavi is uniquely suited to drive that opportunity.'
