Cunliffe to Lead MB Vermeer in South Africa
Millward Brown has launched its new Vermeer brand and business strategy consultancy in South Africa, servicing clients across Africa and the Middle East and with Nicki Cunliffe at the helm.
The new division was formed a month ago by merging the global group's Optimor brand strategy division with newly acquired EffectiveBrands. Areas of expertise include segmentation, market sizing, market entry strategy, brand valuation and marketing and sponsorship ROI, and other offices are in Amsterdam, London, Mexico City, New York, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
Cunliffe has worked with the Millward Brown group in a global role for several years, based in New York and Shanghai; and has recently returned to South Africa.
Vermeer CEO Mario Simon says the new division strengthens and expands the group's offer supporting brand-led business growth, and helps 'ensure that the resulting strategies are implemented effectively around the world'. He concludes: 'We look forward to partnering with our clients in Africa and the Middle East.'
Charles Foster, MD, Millward Brown Africa and Middle East says the firm is 'delighted to bring Vermeer's high level consultancy skills to the region, spearheaded by globally experienced professionals.'
