Launch for Product Potential Specialist Retail Passage
In Texas, former Bank of America exec Tim Mahaffey has set up a brand strategy firm called Retail Passage, offering a platform for product developers and inventors to assess a product's retail potential.
Users can tap into a feature called the Product Qualification Engine (PQE) and analyze data to assess a product's practicality and usefulness; pricing; and readiness for retail sales. In addition to the PQE tool, RetailPassage.com offers a product listing service to help retailers and retail buyers evaluate the viability of the company or individual listing the product; and to source new products.
Mahaffey (pictured) comments: 'Retail Passage makes no unrealistic guarantees, but the company's signature approach will improve chances of a product's success, challenge the inventor's thinking, and simultaneously makes products available to retailers in the market for the next big thing. The PQE tool is an excellent resource for an informed, practical analysis of any new product going to market today.'
