Nielsen and GfK Make IAB Australia Shortlist
Nielsen and GfK have made it to the final round of IAB Australia's tender to measure online audiences across the country for the next three years.
Present incumbent Nielsen was first awarded preferred supplier status in 2011, and in April its contract was extended for a further eighteen months. For the latest tender, twenty three companies submitted expressions of interest, and comScore, GfK, Roy Morgan Research and Nielsen were initially selected.
Alice Manners (pictured), IAB Australia CEO, explains: 'After conducting a technical evaluation of the four proposals, Nielsen and GfK's proposals were found to have offered solutions and local investment that best meet our very demanding brief. We are extremely pleased the tender has generated so much interest both here and overseas - interest that galvanises Australia's position as a leader in innovative audience measurement methodology.'
Manners says the final decision will be announced in the fourth quarter, probably in early October.
