SKOPOS UK Ahead of Schedule

SKOPOS UK has released a trading update for the last 6 months of successful operation, from April 2002 to end September 2002.

Revenues, growth and profit have all improved in this timeframe, and indeed the UK division of SKOPOS exceeded its annualised revenue target in October, 3 months ahead of schedule, and went into the black in August 2002 (4 months ahead of schedule).

Darren Noyce joined as Managing Director of SKOPOS UK at the beginning of April, and the division was effectively re-launched from this date. Today the company has 8 staff at its office in Chiswick, London. SKOPOS has primary operations in London, Paris, Cologne and Berlin - and secondary units for Spain and Italy.

SKOPOS UK believes it has been successful on two main fronts: applied online (web-based) data collection, and international research. The company has been conducting online research since 1997, and has operated the SKOPOS Euro-Panel of consumer net users from across Europe since 1999.

Recent new business has been won from organisations including multi-nationals General Mills (Green Giant, etc.), Anheuser Busch (Budweiser, etc.), and General Motors (Vauxhall/Opel) - as well as from UK businesses including Cahoot (part of Abbey National), and Eagle Star (part of Zurich Financial Services).

Future growth at the agency is expected to come from its online work as well as international surveys and applied research in vertical sectors such as automotives, finance, media and mobile telecoms.
