Aimpoint's Road Leads to Rome
US intelligence provider Aimpoint Research has moved into Europe with the acquisition of Rome's CIELO Research.
 Based in Columbus, Ohio, Aimpoint offers the FUSION model, described as 'an advanced research process derived from US Military Intelligence techniques', and combines this and other market intelligence techniques with qual and quant research expertise. CIELO's methods include desktop research, depths and focus groups, and Aimpoint President & CEO says its capabilities fit well within his firm's corporate culture, allowing it to pursue a long-held strategic goal of expanding into Europe.
CIELO boss Marcello Sasso becomes Aimpoint's Director of European Operations, says the deal gives his firm's clients 'the competitive advantage they need in both the US and European markets.'
