GQR Names London Partner
Washington, DC-based polling firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner (GQR) has promoted James Morris, a former speechwriter for UK Labour Leader Ed Milliband, to the position of Partner in its London office. He is the company's fifth Partner.
GQR specializes in using data and research to inform communications strategies - 'whether for presidents of countries or presidents of corporations'. The firm opened its first European office in London in 2010, where it appointed Morris as Vice President and Director.
Before joining, Morris (pictured) worked at Chime Communications firm Opinion Leader, where he conducted brand development studies for London 2012, and led a study into disabled peoples' attitudes to the media. Earlier, he was a Research Fellow at the Institute for Public Policy Research, worked in public policy at the Prime Minister's Strategy Unit, and served as Milliband's speechwriter. He began his career in advertising, working with Trevor Beattie, Andrew McGuiness and Philip Gould.
As well as leading the London office, Morris heads GQR's work for the UK Labour party. GQR founder and CEO Stan Greenberg comments on the promotion: 'James' integrity, professionalism and drive to reach smart strategic insights have allowed him to move seamlessly from C-suites to President's offices and make a difference. He's won their respect and as partner, he will help this firm continue to aspire to make history and help great companies.'
