Fischer Named Aha! CEO
Detroit, Michigan-based DIY online qual platform Aha! has named co-founder Ray Fischer Chief Executive Officer.
Launched in 2007 by Fischer (pictured), Jim Chastain and Jim White, the recently renamed company provides a platform whose users can create and run fully customizable qualitative studies and evaluate ideas and communications such as TV ads, print, and digital messages. The tool has recently been upgraded to offer features for storytelling and collage building, while its community tools now include pinboards, 'wishing walls' and bulletin boards.
Commenting on the latest upgrade, Fischer said: 'We have used the international convergence of high-speed Internet and mobile device penetration with social media acceptance to push the connection of marketers to their customers at a whole new level. The DIY capability allows more marketers and researchers to gain access to these emotions and buyer behaviors in an expedited and more cost-effective way.'
Fischer takes on the role of CEO, having begun his career as a Media Planner at Wells Rich Greene, before joining PepsiCo, where he worked for eight years and held a number of marketing roles in packaging, food service, and national account positions. He later served as EVP, Consulting Services at digital marketing agency Influence before co-founding what is now known as Aha!
