Insights West Launches Canadian Multicultural Panel
Canadian public opinion polling and consumer research specialist Insights West has launched an online community, comprising 2,100 British Columbians of Chinese and South Asian ethnic descent.
Based in Vancouver and Calgary, Insights West was set up by former Ipsos Reid President Steve Mossop (pictured) in 2012. As well as offering a full MR service, the firm provides access to YourInsights, a Western Canadian consumer panel, and can develop proprietary panels on behalf of clients.
Surveys for the new YourInsights Multicultural Panel can be conducted online in English, traditional and simplified Chinese, and can be targeted at consumers based on the length of time they have been in Canada, their country of origin, languages spoken, and a variety of other demographics. The firm aims to grow the panel to 4,000 by the end of 2014.
Mossop comments: 'British Columbia is regarded as one of the most ethnically diverse regions in the world. Until now this group has been under-represented in public opinion polling and marketing research due to cost constraints and a lack of know-how.
