Robert Worcester Honoured by University of Greenwich

The world renowned chairman of MORI, Professor Robert Worcester, was yesterday awarded an honorary degree by the University of Greenwich. The honorary Doctor of Laws was conferred by the University's Chancellor, Lord Holme of Cheltenham.

A visiting professor and governor at the London School of Economics, Professor Worcester is also a council member of the University of Kent. He has honorary doctorates from the Universities of Bradford, Buckingham and Middlesex.

Born in the United States, he founded London-based MORI in 1969 and the agency is now the UK's largest independent research company, and has been the fastest-growing top ten research agency for the past two years.

Congratulating Greenwich's new graduates on their degrees, he exhorted them to use their talents to help others, to '...pay back what they have learned, and been taught, from their earliest days to the benefit of others, and thereby of themselves,' reminding them of the virtues of Endeavour, Integrity, Justice and Charity.
