New CFO for Asia Pacific at AMI
Asia Market Intelligence (AMI), which rebrands as Synovate in January 2003, has just announced that Ping Lam will take up the role of Chief Financial Officer for the Asia Pacific region.
Reporting directly to AMI's CEO, Mr Lam takes up his position as Chief Financial Officer from this month. He will be responsible for all financial management activities in the Asia Pacific region, including the organisation's financial planning and accounting practices - as well as its relationship with its UK-listed parent company and lending institutions. Tim Balbirnie, Chief Executive Officer of AMI, said the company would benefit from the scale and scope of Mr Lam's experience. 'Ping brings an array of financial management experience to AMI. He has worked in global accountancy firms as well as for individual and high-profile companies. His regional experience covers the full gamut of financial expertise - accounting, audit, business reviews, mergers and acquisitions, fund raising, due diligence and valuations. As AMI moves from a regionally strong research firm to a global entity, Ping is eminently qualified to manage our balance sheet.'
Mr Lam's career has included time in lead financial advisor / manager roles with the Bank of America in Hong Kong, PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong, and Coopers & Lybrand in Sydney.
