IHS Debuts Daily Chemical Market Intelligence Service
US-based information and analytics firm IHS has launched a resource for global chemical pricing data, market intelligence and metrics. Supporting analysis will be provided in the form of four daily reports.
Launched in 1959, IHS provides information services and forecasting to the aerospace and defence, automotive, chemical, energy, finance, maritime and technology sectors. The new 'IHS Chemical Market Daily Service' will initially cover North American olefins and polyolefins, and North American, European and Asian aromatics.
In addition to daily pricing metrics, market commentaries and news, the reports will address issues such as global arbitrage, ethylene cash costs, export profitability and propylene inventories. The service, which will also pick up feeds provided by news source IHS ChemicalWeek, can be accessed by both subscribers wanting full consultancy advice, and by customers such as traders and brokers who only want daily pricing information.
Samantha Hartke (pictured) has joined the firm from energy, petrochemicals, metals and agriculture information provider Platts to head up the division as Director of IHS Chemical Market Daily Service.
