comScore Revenue Continues Climb
Digital measurement specialist comScore has reported a 15% increase in third quarter revenues to $82.1m, but posted a GAAP net loss of $3.3m on the back of a $6.9m impairment charge. The latter relates to the firm's mobile operator analytics division, which it intends shortly to divest or shut down.
Excluding this charge, comScore says that pro forma income before taxes would have been $1.1m. Third quarter adjusted EBITDA was up 17% year-on-year to $19.1m.
CEO Serge Matta (pictured) commented: 'comScore delivered continued strong performance in the third quarter both on revenue and EBITDA. We've positioned comScore for success with a product and technology portfolio that leverages key industry megatrends and makes audiences and advertising more valuable to our growing client base.'
Year-to-date revenues rose 14% to $239.0m from the same period in 2013, and adjusted EBITDA increased 19% to $51.3m. For the full year, comScore is anticipating revenue in the range of $319m to $324.5m, assuming the divestment or 'discontinuation' of the division takes place during the current quarter.
