VoxPopMe Names North America MD
UK-based mobile video MR specialist VoxPopMe has expanded to the US with the appointment of former Qualvu exec Dean Macko as Managing Director, North America.
Launched in the UK last year by Dave Carruthers and Andrew Barraclough, Birmingham and London-based VoxPopMe offers a smartphone app through which consumers can provide feedback on brands in the form of video responses direct from their mobile phones. In addition, the platform offers features such as sentiment analysis to determine the attitude of the respondent.
Macko (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' MR experience, most recently gained at video research solutions provider Qualvu, where he served as Senior Director, Research & Strategy. Prior to this, he worked client-side at Hyundai Motor America as Manager, Brand Strategy and Development; and agency-side as Director, Automotive at Compete; Senior Consultant at GfK; and Research Manager at Goldfarb Consultants. In his new role, Macko will oversee product management, technology, staffing, resource allocation and client relations; while also serving as the company's consumer insights specialist in the country.
