Turner Broadcasting Hires Data / Ad Ops Leader
In the US, Turner Broadcasting has named former [x+1] President Stephano Kim as Senior Vice President, Ad Operations and Chief Data Strategist for its newly created Ad Sales division.
Kim (pictured) joins the high profile Time Warner subsidiary after a decade spent working with early stage data and technology companies as an advisor, investor and operator. Prior to this, he was President of fashion-based eCommerce platform AHAlife, of marketing software company SHIFT.com, and of behavioral marketing firm [x+1]. Earlier, he served as Director of Strategy at AOL and Director of Digital Strategy at OCI, and he co-founded education software firm Blackboard.
The remit of Kim's team will include looking at opportunities for clients and agencies to work with Turner to optimize their marketing campaigns and drive audience growth.
Kim is based in New York and reports to Turner Sports President Lenny Daniels, who comments: 'Stephano will help expand our company's data infrastructure and capabilities that will help further grow revenue and consumer insights across our company. His professional experience is diverse and will bring a different perspective to this important new role within our company.'
