Dentsu Aegis Network Buys Mobile Agency Fetch
Marcoms group Dentsu Aegis Network has acquired full service mobile agency Fetch, which offers mobile strategy, media, creative and analytics services. While terms of the deal were not disclosed, it is estimated to be worth around £30m.
Headquartered in London, with additional offices in the US, Germany and Hong Kong, Fetch was founded in 2009 by James Connelly (pictured) and Declan Reddington and currently employs 96 mobile experts. Its Analytics division, which is led by Head of Data and Operations Dan Wilson, offers a range of user segmentation, cross-device measurement and benchmarking services. In addition, its proprietary FetchMe dashboard predicts what consumers will do in the future, based on analysis of more than one billion monthly user interactions with brands.
Following the acquisition, Connelly will continue to lead the business with support from his existing management team, including recently appointed COO, Greg Grimmer. Commenting on the sale, Connelly said: 'This is a logical next step for Fetch as we look to deliver our ambitious growth plans and scale our business globally. We are particularly pleased to be able to do that as part of Dentsu Aegis Network. Dentsu Aegis Network has a proven track record of growing digital businesses and a clear appreciation of the increasing importance of mobile in the media landscape.'
