In the UK, MD Maureen Duffy has left TNS after less than three years in the role. Reasons for the departure are not yet known. Global CEO Richard Ingleton is stepping into the role until a UK replacement is found.
Duffy (pictured) joined the company at the beginning of 2012, when she replaced Andrew Czarnowski. She previously served as CEO of the Newspaper Marketing Agency, and after spells as Commissioner for ITV daytime programming and setting up a marketing department at BBC Television. She started her career in the early 1980s as a graduate trainee at J Walter Thompson, rising there to Director of Strategic Communication.
In a statement, a TNS spokesperson said this evening: 'After over two years as the CEO of TNS UK, Maureen Duffy is leaving the business. Maureen is now on garden leave and Richard Ingleton, Global CEO of TNS, has taken on the role of interim CEO. Richard will work closely with the TNS UK Board to manage the business for the remainder of 2014 and to plan for 2015.'
The spokesperson confirmed that an announcement about Duffy's successor will be made in due course.
