Virgin Media Hires Former BA Marketer Kerris Bright
Virgin Media has appointed former Unilever and British Airways marketer Kerris Bright as Chief Marketing Officer, with an expanded remit that includes data, insight and analytics. She will join the company on 19th January.
Most recently, Bright (pictured) ran her own consultancy, having previously served as CMO at bathroom company Ideal Standard, and worked for British Airways as Head of Global Marketing. In the latter role, she was tasked with creating a more 'customer centric' organisation, and led a 100-strong team. Earlier, she was CMO at AkzoNobel/ICI Paints, and she held senior marketing roles at Unilever for around a decade.
At Virgin Media, Bright will also be responsible for brand management and customer marketing. Commenting on her appointment, she said: 'The best companies always find a way to combine science or technological know-how with a genuine human touch, which is why this role excited me. Virgin Media provides the best products and service and has an unrivalled brand that makes this a compelling opportunity.'
Bright joins sixteen months after former CMO Jeff Dodds changed roles, and then left the company to become CEO of Tele2 Netherlands.
