Change of CEO for Social Media Firm Blue Calypso
Mobile consumer engagement and advocacy platform Blue Calypso has promoted founder Andrew Levi to the role of Chief Executive Officer, replacing Bill Ogle, who will remain as Chairman of the Board.
The firm is based in Dallas, Texas and offers patented social media advocacy solutions for retailers and product manufacturers. Products include big data analytics to track consumer engagement such as the spread of shared content, attribution and geo-location; and are used to connect consumers to brands, drive store traffic, and increase shopper spend.
Levi (pictured) set up the company in 2009, and has most recently served as its Chief Technology Officer. Earlier, he founded IT firm Aztec Systems, which offers a range of cloud, disaster recovery and managed IT services, and he was involved in a number of business and association ventures in the technology industry.
Commenting on the promotion, Ogle said: 'Andrew has authored all of the Blue Calypso patents and has been instrumental in building and launching our technology platforms. He also created the BC Labs business which has grown dramatically in only one year. Further, I am excited to continue on as the Chairman of the Board of Directors to continue providing strategic leadership and guidance for the company.'
