BirdEye Launches Competitor Analytics Tool

Reputation management specialist BirdEye has launched its Competitor Analytics tool, to enable marketers to benchmark their company against their competitors using consumer sentiment, reviews and ratings, and other operational metrics.

Naveen GuptaThrough the existing BirdEye platform, businesses can monitor reviews from all major sites, gain new reviews, manage customer feedback, and automatically promote their reputation across the web, social media and search engines. The firm's new Competitor Analytics tool uses natural language processing with machine learning to mine customer feedback from thousands of locations and products and hundreds of review sites, and then assess customer sentiment from keywords in those reviews. Through keyword analysis, companies can compare their reviews and ratings performance against competitors at brand, location, and product level.

Reviews and ratings reports are designed to help companies gauge where they stand against their competitors, and include filters for state/city, review source, and time period. In addition, companies can compare themselves against competitors on selected categories - such as 'food', 'customer service', and 'amenities'.
