Revmetrix Secures Seed Funding
Consumer insights specialist Revmetrix has secured $2.2m in seed funding, which it will use to launch its omnichannel data platform for retailers.
Founded by serial entrepreneurs Hemang Gadhia and Christopher Brown, Washington DC-based Revmetrix brings together all a retailer's own customer information in one place, to help understand consumer behaviour across multiple channels and devices.
This platform allows retailers to collect and uniquely identify interactions from a single customer as he or she engages with them, regardless of whether they are in-store, online or on their mobile device. It then stores each interaction in a detailed customer profile, for use in building targeted audiences.
The funding round was co-led by Genacast Ventures and 406 Ventures, with participation from Jerry Neumann of Neu Venture Capital, Millennial Media co-founder Chris Brandenburg, Clarabridge co-founder Sid Banerjee, Higher One co-founder Sean Glass, and a host of other angel investors.
