ComRes and Daily Mail in Political Polling Partnership
London-based ComRes has partnered with The Daily Mail to deliver a programme of polling and political analysis, including extensive coverage in the run-up to the general election in May.
ComRes serves clients in the UK and internationally, and is known in the UK for its polling work on behalf of The Independent and Independent on Sunday, ITV and the BBC. Last April the firm launched a number of new services in preparation for the UK general election, including one tool which uses long-term voting intention trends and psephological analysis to gauge the most likely compositional range of the House of Commons after the vote.
The company's partnership with The Daily Mail, which starts tonight, will build on ComRes' monthly telephone polling, and will also continue beyond the election into the next parliament.
Chairman Andrew Hawkins (pictured) comments: 'Not only are we in the run-up to the most unpredictable general election in recent history, but the uncertainty is likely to continue in the weeks, months and possibly even years following May 7th. We are therefore delighted to partner with the Daily Mail in delivering valuable insight and understanding of the latest trends in public opinion.'
