TNS Promotes Turton to Head of Automotive, Americas
TNS has promoted Andy Turton to the position of Head of Automotive for the Americas, based in Los Angeles.
Turton (pictured) is currently Global Development Director for TNS Automotive in London, and will relocate to the US next month. He originally joined TNS in 2000, and worked there for seven years before leaving to join auto industry-focused data analytics and consulting firm TRG-iSKY as CEO. He returned to TNS in 2011.
Having begun his career in 1982 as a graduate trainee at AGB (which later became part of TNS), Turton then joined GfK as MD of its UK custom research business. He later founded research firm Marketing Blueprint, which was acquired by NFO in 1997. After this, he integrated Marketing Blueprint with another NFO business to create a dedicated auto division, and then relocated to the US to set up an auto division for NFO.
Rémy Pothet, Global Head, TNS Automotive, comments: 'Andy's appointment completes our automotive footprint across the US, Europe and Asia. He is the perfect candidate to take on this role, with a brilliant track record throughout his time at TNS and a deep understanding of how the US market operates, having already lived and worked there for ten years.'
