Business Intelligence Firm Looker Raises $30m
Santa Cruz, California-based SaaS business intelligence platform Looker has raised $30m in a Series B financing round.
Looker is a web-based business intelligence platform with a proprietary data description language called LookML, allowing analysts or anyone in an organization to create and curate custom data. The platform was built to enable big data processing and use dialect-specific SQL and analytic functions from backend databases, and analyze all the datasets across an organization.
The firm's most recent funding round has been led by Meritech Capital Partners, with participation from Sapphire Ventures (formerly SAP Ventures), and existing investors Redpoint Ventures, First Round Capital and PivotNorth.
