Falcon Social Gets Funds for Expansion
Social media management and measurement platform Falcon Social has raised $16m in a Series B round of new funding, which will be used to support its plans for product development, innovation and expansion.
Falcon Social's SaaS platform is used for social media listening, engagement, publishing, measuring and management of social media content. Founded in 2010 and with offices in New York and Copenhagen, the firm employs 180 people from more than 38 countries.
The new funding has been led by Prime Ventures and existing investors Northcap and Target Partners, and brings the total financing to date to $25.33m. Specifically, the funds will be used to expand in North America, and to hire new employees at both leadership and support levels.
Founder and CEO Ulrik Bo Larsen (pictured) comments: 'It's a big vote of confidence to have investors of this caliber embrace the vision of Falcon Social. The new financing will help scale the business and accelerate our product development roadmap.'
