Targeting Firm Sailthru Names New CEO

In New York, marketing personalization and targeting firm Sailthru has appointed IBM veteran Neil Lustig as Chief Executive Officer. He replaces founder Neil Capel, who remains as Chairman.

Neil LustigFounded in 2008 by Capel, Ian White and Chris Chapman, and with bases in New York, San Francisco and London, the firm offers proprietary software which tracks web site, e-mail, mobile and social media use, as well as off-line behavior, and develops an interest profile for each unique customer, for use in targeting and optimizing marketing campaigns.

Lustig (pictured) joins with more than 25 years' operational and strategic experience in software, hardware, and cloud technologies. At the beginning of his career, he spent nearly twenty years at IBM, where he initially worked in marketing, and latterly served as Director eCommerce Solutions. More recently, he served as CEO and President of pricing analytics and optimization specialist Vendavo, and he was SVP and General Manager, North America at business intelligence firm Ariba.

In his new role, Lustig will lead Sailthru's day-to-day operations, while Capel will serve as the company's primary thought leader, while leading product innovation. Commenting on the appointment, Capel said: 'At Sailthru, everyone is committed to delivering on our vision of personalization as the key to creating a next generation user experience. As Chairman, I'm excited to work alongside Mr. Lustig as he builds on our success and focuses on the operational strategy required to make our vision a reality.'
