Attensity Names Chief Strategy Officer
In the US, natural language processing specialist Attensity has appointed Cary Fulbright as Chief Strategy Officer, with a remit to further bolster its business intelligence and enterprise analytics services.
Attensity uses semantic technologies and context-based discovery to analyze more than 150 million data sources. Last summer, the firm received a patent for an unstructured sentiment analysis solution developed by its subsidiary Biz360.
Fulbright (pictured) joins from software firm Autodesk, where he served as a Strategic Consultant. Prior to this he was COO at recruiting apps specialist JobScience, President of SaaS consulting firm Saaspoint, and he held senior roles at human capital management firm Saba and call center solutions firm Five9. Earlier, he worked in senior marketing and product management roles at Salesforce, ePeople and SAP labs, having begun his career at Hill and Knowlton and J.Walter Thompson.
In his new role, Fulbright will oversee a number of initiatives, including the formalizing of the company's planning processes. He will report to Chairman and CEO Howard Lau, who comments: 'Cary brings a depth of industry expertise in product strategy, marketing, subscription-based pricing, and cloud computing all of which will be instrumental in furthering the adoption of Attensity's data analytics and discovery in the market.'
The firm has also promoted James Purchase to the role of Vice President of Business Development from Vice President of Product Management; and Nick Arnett has been promoted to fill the position as Director of Product Management.
