Gravy Laps Up Funds for Location Behavior Platform
In the US, location behavior data analytics and targeting firm Gravy has closed a $7.6m round in Series A funding.
Leesburg, Virginia-based Gravy analyzes consumers' actual local behavior and activities for brand marketers and media companies. Through its GOLD local mobile behavior analytics and segmentation platform, marketers can understand the interests and affinities of individual mobile customers, and use that knowledge to predict buying intent, deliver personalized messages, gain competitive insights, and execute in-the-moment targeting.
The firm's new investment has been led by publisher Gannett and telecoms provider MetTel, with participation from existing investors including Gravy's Board Chairman Richard Braddock (pictured). Funds will be used to further accelerate the deployment of Gravy GOLD, to hire additional executives, and extend the technology team.
Braddock comments: 'I continue to be impressed with the rapid evolution of the Gravy GOLD platform and I'm more enthusiastic than ever about the company's transformational position in the marketplace. I couldn't be happier about the vote of confidence represented by the investments of Gannett and MetTel and I'm pleased to welcome them to the Board.'
