Woodruff Sweitzer Acquires Confluence

In the US, marcoms agency Woodruff Sweitzer is buying marketing and PR firm Confluence, whose portfolio of services includes market research, digital, design and illustration, and online and off-line specialist content creation. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Terry WoodruffRed Wing, Minnesota-based Confluence Marketing will take the name Woodruff Sweitzer, all its employees will be retained, and new employees will be added. In addition, current owner Tim McKim will remain in a leadership position, and will join the Woodruff Sweitzer executive team as Executive Vice President.

Following the deal, Woodruff Sweitzer will have offices in five cities across North America. President and CEO Terry Woodruff comments: 'This expansion supports the recent record growth seen by both companies. With record growth comes unique challenges and opportunities, and we're excited to blend our companies to better serve the long-term goals of our clients and build growth opportunities for our employees.'
