IMS Health Buys UK-based Big Data Firm
Pharma data giant IMS Health has acquired healthcare big data analytics specialist Dataline Software. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1983, Brighton, UK-based Dataline works with the NHS, life sciences companies, payers, healthcare authorities and academia to deliver tailored software for analysis and visualizations of large, complex healthcare data sets.
IMS Health says the acquisition will extend its technology-enabled Real-World Evidence (RWE) platform, and accelerate delivery of integrated clinical and cost-of-care insights for assessing healthcare value and performance. In addition, Dataline's software tools will expand the capabilities of Evidence 360, IMS Health's RWE platform that helps clients extract, analyze and visualize data.
