IAB Launches Digital Data Training Program
In the US, the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has launched a new training module called the Digital Data Solutions Certification Program, to ensure that digital media and marketing professionals are proficient in data management.
The IAB Certification Programs establish and measure the industry knowledge required for digital advertising professionals. The latest training program, designed with the guidance of the IAB Data Council, aims to give digital marketing and media professionals the expertise needed to make interactive advertising 'more efficient'. Competencies covered include establishing data policies, managing data supply, creating data products, developing client data solutions, and data analytics.
Patrick Dolan (pictured), IAB EVP and COO says the new program will address the current shortage of digital industry executives who are skilled in the latest digital data solutions. 'Data convergence is one of the most important changes in marketing and advertising since the digital revolution. This IAB program will address the change in skills required to operate in this new digital media environment'.
