New Leader for Traffic Audit Bureau
In New York, the Traffic Audit Bureau for Media Measurement (TAB) has appointed former Symphony and Zenith exec Kym Frank as President. She replaces interim CEO Nancy Fletcher, who has held the role since former leader Joe Philport retired at the end of the year.
Established in 1933, TAB is a non-profit organization which acts as an independent auditor for out-of-home (OoH) media in the US. The organization offers a system which measures audiences who actually see advertising, and which now includes ratings for transit media and digital billboards.
Frank (pictured) joins with two decades of media research experience. She most recently served as SVP, Client Solutions at cross-platform measurement specialist Symphony Advanced Media, prior to which she was SVP of Strategic Insights at ZenithOptimedia. She also held consumer insights positions at FTI Consulting (previously Financial Dynamics), and CBS Television Distribution.
In her new role, Frank is responsible for overseeing TAB's out-of-home (OoH) ratings, and leading the organization's mission to provide standardized, quantitative and valid audience measurement for OoH in a changing media landscape. Fletcher assumed the role of interim CEO after Philport announced his retirement last year. TAB Chairman Mary Sheehan comments: 'Kym is an innovative researcher who has demonstrated success in packaging research into compelling products for use in the buy-sell process. Given her understanding of, and passion for, media measurement across platforms, we feel she is the right person to help TAB showcase the value of OoH measurement.'
