Media Monitors Gains Radio Spot Re-accreditation
US broadcast monitoring and verification service Media Monitors has gained re-accreditation from the Media Rating Council (MRC) for its radio spot data service. The firm is also hoping to gain MRC accreditation for its TV data product.
Media Monitors tracks radio commercials and newspaper ads, and provides sales and marketing tools for broadcast TV, cable, media research firms and ad agencies. In 2009, the firm became the first radio monitoring company to be awarded accreditation by the MRC for its radio spot service, which records and analyses thousands of radio spots every week on stations in North America, and enables subscribers to not only see what spots ran and when, but also hear the spot in the context of the actual programming.
Commenting on the re-accreditation, President and CEO Philippe Generali (pictured) said: 'Earning MRC accreditation seven years in a row takes the dedication of everyone at Media Monitors. It is a particular honor to receive this blue-chip industry recognition of our radio spot data service'.
Generali also announced that Media Monitors has embarked on an MRC evaluation process that it hopes will lead to MRC evaluation of its TV data product accreditation.
