Gut Joins Tremor Video as Head of Insights & Analytics

In New York, video ad technology company Tremor Video has appointed media researcher Ariane Gut as Head of Insights and Analytics.

Ariane GutTremor Video's marketplace offers the full spectrum of video ad products and services, including programmatic buying and selling, and analytics that connect the two. The firm's enterprise video-analytics division VideoHub provides clients with a simple way to buy, verify and analyze the effectiveness of video ad campaigns - and was the first video ad platform to integrate Nielsen's Online Campaign Ratings. Earlier this year, the firm won accreditation from the Media Rating Council for a number of metrics including its video viewable impression measure.

Gut (pictured) joins from radio broadcaster iHeartMedia, where she served as VP, Analytics & Insights, before which, she worked for FremantleMedia as Global Brand Research Director, at CNN as Director of Ad Sales Research, and she held a number of senior roles at Turner Broadcasting. Earlier in her career, Gut worked for IPG-owned Initiative, where she was the key research person on the firm's entertainment accounts.

In her new role, she will tap into Tremor Video's first-party data, commission original research, and develop third-party partnerships, while continuing to participate in industry-wide initiatives and play a role in defining video sector standards. Gut reports to CMO Melinda McLaughlin, who comments: 'There's never been a more critical need for insights as everything we once knew about advertising changes rapidly. Ariane's deep knowledge of the media landscape's evolution and her experience with digital measurement and advertising research make her a trusted, effective, and strong voice for the company.'
