Funds and Change of Name for Analytics Firm Twtrland
Israeli social media analytics business Twtrland has rebranded as Klear, and has raised $1.5m in funding, quadrupling its total investment to date. The company says it will focus the cash on marketing and sales, principally in the UK and US.
Initially focused on Twitter, the rebranded company has broadened its view to include Instagram and Facebook, and says it plans to add the likes of LinkedIn, Pinterest and Google Plus. The latest funding comes from GIG, Altair and TMT.
The company pitches its services as simpler and more accessible than rivals', and offers a range of monthly subscription options as well as custom analysis for larger clients. Users can monitor the performance of their own social media campaigns and compare with competitors. Key targets are small and medium-sized companies just starting out with social media analysis, and businesses already using such tools but looking for less complicated analytics.
CEO Eytan Avigdor, quoted on www.jewishbusinessnews.com , said: 'Our mission is to measure the social web and make it universally accessible and useful to brands across the world so that companies could effectively use social media to build and enhance their brand in a meaningful way'.
