Faulkner to Leave Ebiquity in Australia
The founder of Australian media benchmarking company Faulkners Media Monitoring (FMM) has left Ebiquity, four years after selling his firm to the London-based information giant. Eric Faulkner says he has no immediate career plans other than possibly 'putting his feet up for a while'.
Faulkner told media news site www.mumbrella.com.au : 'I'm actually on gardening leave until September and so I'm still available to help anybody in the Sydney office or the South East Asia office. I love the company and spent 25 years building it up and I am sure they will do fantastically without me because they have an excellent team'.
FMM was founded 25 years ago and sold to Ebiquity for an initial consideration of $AUD 4m (£2.5m) in October 2011. The company was rebranded under the parent firm's banner last year. Ebiquity's benchmarking division audits many of the biggest brands in Australia, and recently announced changes to its processes after revelations that the country's Mediacom agency had deliberately faked campaign reports for three major clients for at least two years.
