Video Poll Tech Firm GlimpzIt Unveils Freemium Model
San Francisco, CA-based consumer video poll and dialogue platform GlimpzIt has launched a self service, freemium version of its product, following the recent enterprise version.
Users can receive responses in the form of words, images and videos - 'think SurveyMonkey meets Instagram'.
GlimpzIt was founded in 2014 by software developers Parry Bedi and Sami Kaipa (pictured) and emerged from beta in the Spring with a $1.1m seed funding round. The product is now available in four versions - free / basic, Standard, Pro and Enterprise, and the company says the last of these is used by MR firms such as ResearchNow, as well as big-brand end-users. The Standard version includes access to GlimpzIt's curated audience, 'Crowd', along with analysis through tagging and advanced analytics and priority support, and the Pro version adds further integration and sharing features.
Bedi comments: 'As more and more consumers turn to mobile phones and visuals as their preferred method of communication, running polls and surveys using traditional methods no longer makes sense With this launch, we are opening up the platform so that anyone - consumeers, small business and enterprises - can harness the power of mobile and visual data and use that data to shape their decisions and to engage with their community'.
