Havas Media Creates Group Insight Leadership Role
In London, Havas Media Group (HMG) has hired former IPG Mediabrands exec Yvonne O'Brien for a newly created role, Group Chief Insight Officer. She takes up the position on 11th August.
HMG includes three brands: Havas Media, Arena Media and Forward Media. O'Brien (pictured) set up IPG Mediabrands' eighteen-strong Marketing Sciences division, and served as its MD. Prior to this, she was Managing Partner at Universal McCann, specialising in research and insight and developing new agency and effectiveness tools. Earlier, she held senior insight and marketing roles at Clear Channel UK, Opus and JCDecaux.
In her new position O'Brien will oversee the Research, Insight and Econometric teams, work closely with the group's data and marketing tech consultancy DBi and trends agency SCB Partners, and help direct the firm's annual Meaningful Brands research.
She will report directly to HMG's Group Managing Director Paul Frampton, who comments: 'Yvonne's reputation in the insight and analytics space is second to none. Her leadership will be instrumental in rolling out the Havas vision of a more human approach to media, defined by genuine insight and data to inform more meaningful connections between people and brands'.
