Insightpool Names Chief Operating Officer
In the US, social media intelligence platform Insightpool has appointed Chris Hackney as Chief Operating Officer, with overall responsibility for operations and continued business growth.
Launched in 2013, Atlanta, Georgia-based Insightpool identifies and creates relationships with 'undiscovered' influencers on social media to drive word-of-mouth and earned media for brands. It then learns the characteristics of a company's top converters, and personalizes paid media to find and acquire more of them.
Hackney (pictured), joins from Oracle where he led the Cloud Customer Success groups. Prior to this he was on the executive team at social media relationship management company Vitrue, where he led the strategy and customer teams until its acquisition by Oracle. Earlier in his career, Hackney served as Executive Director, Strategic Development at health information management specialist WebMD, before which he spent three years at Coca-Cola, latterly as Brand Manager for the Trade Marks brands.
In his new role, Hackney will report directly to CEO Devon Wijesinghe, who comments: 'Insightpool is growing faster than ever, and adding someone of Chris' caliber is very exciting as our company continues to scale. I look forward to working with him to drive the business to the next level'.
