Moasis Launches Location-Based Targeting Tool
US firm Moasis has launched a platform which combines location-related information with behavioural data and demographics, to help clients target specific consumers on their mobile devices.
Based in San Francisco and established in 2009, Moasis combines location data management, predictive intelligence and real-time communications delivery technologies into a single platform, to enable clients to optimize advertising and service experiences with real-time location intelligence.
The new 'Moasis for Advertisers' solution structures all available location-related information and then applies predictive tools with real-time decision and delivery systems to serve appropriate messages to mobile devices. The firm's Contextual Location Services (CLS) platform defines location 'beyond geography' - such as environmental conditions, time and date, prevailing demographics, and past behavior of consumers in that location. It then used its own patented 'Geo-Grid' technology for targeting - more accurate, it claims, than the widely used geo-fence.
CEO and co-founder Ryan Golden (pictured) comments: 'as we look towards the future, the need for targeted content goes beyond just brands and marketers - our technology can serve local businesses, developers, government and any organization where location context is key to delivering a more engaging experience'.
